Return-Side Trackers

Stop return-run drift before it becomes tail-pulley damage.

Return-side mistracking can be driven by carryback, pulley build-up, belt memory, poor cleaning, structural issues or upstream instability. Tru-Trac return-side trackers are specified to control the return run before drift damages structure, contaminates pulleys or re-enters the load zone as a new tracking problem.

02 / Where it begins

What drives return-side drift in the first place.

Return-side mistracking is rarely caused by the return belt itself. Carryback, idler contamination, head-pulley build-up, belt memory and upstream tracking problems all show up as return-side drift. Control the return run before it becomes structural contact or tail-pulley damage.

  • 01Carryback contaminates return idlers, creating localised belt lift.
  • 02Pulley build-up changes belt path through the head and tail pulleys.
  • 03Belt memory from prior misalignment persists on the return run.
  • 04Poor cleaning at the head pulley feeds the entire return-side problem.

03 / Return-side architectures

The Tru-Trac return-side range, matched to duty.

Each tracker family is specified by operating envelope — belt width, speed, material, environment and failure history. Engineering review is the source of truth.

  • Apex Flat Return Tracker HD

    Apex Flat Return Tracker HD

For heavy-duty return-side tracking where belt drift, carryback contamination or structural contact creates ongoing risk. Best for return runs requiring robust correction and simplified heavy-duty fitment.

  • Flat Return Tracker
    02 · Standard flat return

    Flat Return Tracker

For return-side tracking on flat return sections where the belt requires continuous correction before entering tail, take-up or loading areas.

    Dual Return Tracker

For return-side applications where severe drift, heavier duty or wider operating conditions require stronger stabilising control than a standard flat return configuration.

04 / Selector

Match the return-side tracker to your conveyor.

The selector returns a recommended tracker family + duty tier from your conveyor inputs. Engineering Review Required is a normal outcome for borderline or high-risk applications.

Specify the right return tracker for the failure pattern.

Return-side drift is a symptom — the cause is usually upstream. The selector recommends the return architecture; engineering confirms when the upstream cause needs intervention too.
