03 / Engineering narrative
The situation, the problem, and what changed.
- 01
The situation
A coal overland conveyor had a misaligned belt at the cross-belt sampler. The misalignment was breaking the sealing system and creating persistent spillage.
- 02
The problem (root cause)
Without belt stability at the sampler, the sealing system could not function as designed. Spillage was constant.
- 03
What Tru-Trac did
Tru-Trac installed a 1,500 mm Taper Trough Tracker positioned to stabilise the belt approaching the sampler.
- 04
The outcome (measured result)
Spillage was completely eliminated. The sealing system was restored to its intended function.
