Load Zone Impact Control
Impact Beds & Cradles
Impact beds and cradles sit under the loading point to absorb material impact and support the belt across the transfer zone. A supported belt holds a more consistent surface for the skirting to seal against, reducing sag, seal-gap opening and belt-cover damage. Slide-out and modular designs support inspection and replacement in confined transfer-point areas.
Where it’s used
- 01Conventional loading zones needing belt protection and support
- 02Retrofit points with variable geometry, alignment or access limits
- 03Load zones where belt sag and material escape are the main issue
- 04Tight-access areas where idler change-out is difficult (trough frames)
What matters
- Impact bars cushion the belt from falling material
- Continuous belt support maintains a consistent sealing surface
- Helps skirting keep contact by reducing belt sag and movement
- Modular and slide-out designs aid inspection and replacement
- Specified to the loading envelope, not by belt width alone
