Conveyor Assessment · Site Audit · Engineering Diagnosis
A structured engineering review of the belt, loading, tracking, carryback, transfer points, idlers and pulleys — ending in a documented recommendation you can act on, not a sales visit. Most useful when the same problem keeps returning: mistracking, carryback, belt damage or unplanned stops. It's low-risk to start, and where we recommend a fix, you can trial it before you commit.
01 / How it works
you see it work before you commit.
Sequential and proof-led. Each step narrows the question, so the recommendation is matched to your conveyor — and where a fix is proposed, you see it work before you commit.
- 1
Inspection
Remotely from your photos, drawings, video and notes, or on site under loaded and unloaded conditions. A baseline is recorded.
- 2
Audit
Assessed through the five-zone system (load, carry, discharge, return, monitoring), against installed specification, maintenance behaviour and the commercial cost of the failure.
- 3
Report
A documented condition summary and failure-mode diagnosis: where it starts, where it compounds, a priority ranking, and specification direction.
- 4
30-day trial
Where we recommend a component, we install it against an open purchase order for 30 days. Keep it and the PO converts to a purchase; return it within the period and there's no charge. No fine print.
- 5
Before / after
Measured against the inspection baseline, so the result is evidenced, not asserted.
- 6
Proposal
A scoped proposal, or a wider pilot, follows only once the diagnosis and (where run) the trial support it.
Minimal disruption: it can start entirely from supplied media, and any on-site work is planned around your operating windows.
30days
Install it against an open PO. Keep it, or send it back.

02 / What you receive
not a report that sits in a folder.
Practical for maintenance, credible for engineers, clear for procurement. It lowers your risk by finding the cause before you spend on the fix.
Condition summary with photographic evidence and operating-condition notes.
Failure-mode diagnosis — origin and downstream consequences.
Specification verdict — whether existing products are correctly specified, plus recommended families and specification direction.
Priority ranking (urgent / high / medium / monitor) and inspection recommendations.
Cost-of-failure reconstruction where data allows; commercial proposal or pilot scope where requested.

Return-side mistracking and carryback are compounding each other — the return tracker isn't positioned to correct the belt before the tail pulley.
03 / Request an assessment
No drawings or full belt data? Submit anyway — it can start from photos or a short video. Submissions are confidential and POPIA / GDPR compliant.
Next step
Booking an assessment is low-risk — and gets you a documented answer.
Measured past result — not a guarantee
At a Rustenburg PGM operation, previously installed trackers had failed and contributed to a two-day production halt — Tru-Trac assessed the belt, fitted two correctly specified trackers, and it centralised within 20 seconds and held under full load.
